The two fighters had an infamous dust up at a pre-bout press conference at a time when parts of the UK were in turmoil due to riots caused by inequality issues. As a result of their brawl, the police and MP’s of the UK wanted the final eliminator contest to be cancelled but it would eventually go ahead in front of a packed out Wembley arena and fittingly on bonfire night of 1985.
