Floatucky Trail Derby Finals | Onewheel VESC Racing (Raw Runs)

To conclude the Floatucky Trail Derby’s 2022 season, a Finals race was put on, where the circuit’s top 8 riders are invited to duke it out for a podium finish. The event began with Time Trials, which eliminated racers until 4 were left to go head-to-head in a bracket. This sent racers down a steep and unforgiving fire road where the racers’ skills were truly put to the test. After passing on the GT all race season in favor of the XR, it became clear that as people learn the GT more and more, the XR’s power just wasn’t going to cut it anymore. Thus, this was the debut of my first ever VESC racing board! With an 84V CBCSO battery, it’s got the power to keep and even surpass the GT. While the firmware isn’t perfect, I’m constantly working on the tune to improve it for racing, and managed to come away with the fastest Time Trial time of the day, as well as 3rd in Head-to-Head Finals! For reference, 1st, 2nd, and 4th were all on Onewheel GT’s. Looking forw
