Andras Schiff continued his cycle of the clavier works of J.S. Bach, (October 16,,Disney Hall) playing the composer’s six partitas. . Here, he plays the Partita No. 1 in B flat major. The recital was not revived by the Los Angeles Times’ “hip“ music critic, Mark Swed. Had he been there, he would have heard Schiff play,as an encore, Bach’s first C major Invention with rhythmic alterations.
