We’re excited to announce the online premiere of this heart-warming musical journey, concluding our isolation broadcast series with a big, loud (djembe) bang! Told through the lens of South African cellist Abel Selaocoe, Sirocco is about belonging. It’s music by the people, for the people. Abel is joined by his band Chesaba and by Manchester Collective to play everything from beloved classics by Stravinsky and Haydn, to a set of remarkable African tunes and Scandinavian folk songs.
