Chacewater (1950)

Chacewater water supply in Devon. M/S Horse and car (with barrel on top,) approaching camera and stops. M/S driver gets down, takes lead from cart, walks to well, lays down trough from top of well to hole in barrel. M/S Starts pumping water which runs down trough into barrel. C/U Man pumping, pan to water coming out of pump C/U water running into barrel. M/S woman with barrel on cart watching. M/S Man leading horse away after filling barrel. M/S woman backing her horse and cart to well. M/S man leading horse and cart. M/S cows. M/S Man filling buckets from barrel and tipping into cow’s trough water gushing into bucket from barrel. M/S he takes another bucket and pours water in. M/S walks to horse and gives him pail of water. C/U Cows drinking from trough. M/S backing horse and cart into lane. M/S takes two buckets from cart, goes down steps and puts them under natural (?) spring. C/U water running into pail M/S takes away filled pail. M/S pours water into barrel.
