JG Maker R1 3D Printer

JG Maker R1 3D Printer This printer, the R1 from JG Maker is a nice solid printer that seems to be well designed and built. JGMaker is aiming for the “New to 3D printing“ crowd with this printer. While the R1 is a great printer it lacks any significant feature to make it stand out above the rest of the printers in this market. Heading into 2024 I think we are beginning to expect more than the stand “ender3“ clone. While this printer has an inductive bed sensor for meshing, it lacks a load cell to precisely measure Z offset, and the firmware is unpleasant. To really make this model attractive and have it stand out it needs one of two things to happen: 1. price lowered by $30US or 2. Add a load cell and tweak the firmware at the current price point. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.
