A damning report into child sexual exploitation in Rochdale has uncovered the extent to which senior police and council officials failed to protect young girls in the community. The Independent Review, which investigated cases from 2004 to 2013, found that at least 74 children were sexually exploited during that period, with serious failures from authorities in 48 of those instances. Former police detective Maggie Oliver, who has been advocating for justice in these cases, highlights the ongoing problems and the silencing of victims.
