Fun Hexie Quilt Block! No Measuring! Improv Log Cabin Quilt Block
I love quilt blocks like this. The kind where you can zone out and not think too hard. Grab your fabric scraps - especially your fabric strips and get sewing.
You start this block with any sized hexagon and build around it like a log cabin quilt block except with 6 sides instead of 4.
I tried this block two ways - once with two colors and once with 4. What colors would you use?
If I didn’t make it clear I cut the initial 1.5“ wide hexagons on my accuquilt cutter but you can use any acrylic template or anything else you have that is hexagon shaped to get your starting hexie.
