Add a sip of vinegar to the colored water, so the egg takes on the color better. Brownish / Redish - red onion skin Blue - purple cabbage Yellow - kurkuma ------------------------------------------------ Spring nests 250 ml warm milk 350 g all-purpose flour 200 g spelt flour (alternatively substitute with 150 g all-purpose flour) 100 g powdered sugar 1 Tbsp vanilla sugar or vanilla extract Pinch of salt 3 egg yolks 60 g soft butter 40 g fresh bakers yeast (or 15 g active dry yeast) 1 yolk or a bit of heavy cream for egg wash Sprinkle some sugar on top before baking, if desired.
