Katyusha Virtual Recording

The YRC is back! Recorded remotely during the 2020 global pandemic, we present our rendition of Katyusha. Few Russian folk songs have achieved the widespread recognition of Katyusha which has spawned popular Hebrew and Chinese versions. The song rose to fame as a patriotic symbol during WWII and even gave its name to Soviet rocket artillery. In it, a woman (Katyusha) sings of her lover who is a soldier fighting to protect the homeland. While he guards their nation, she will guard their love. Composed by Matvey Blanter Songwriting by Mikhail Isokovsky Edited by David Zheng
