Andreas Gustafsson - Exploring time-frequency space with the Gaborator (ADC’17)

Exploring time-frequency space with the Gaborator Andreas Gustafsson, Lead Developer, Waxing Wave This talk introduces the Gaborator, a C library that generates zoomable, pixelation-free constant-Q spectrograms for visualizing audio signals, supports an accurate inverse transformation of the spectrogram data back into audio for spectral effects and editing, and runs tens to hundreds of times faster than real time. The talk includes a live demonstration using an experimental web based user interface based on online map technology. Music credits: Aria from the Goldberg Variations by J. S. Bach and Meditation on the Old Czech Chorale St. Wenceslas by Josef Suk (public domain recordings by the MusOpen project), and The Swing State by Subliminal (CC-BY). Presented at ADC 2017, Code Node, London.
