Desperate Sandra the orangutan’s life locked in a cage - Daily Mail

Sandra’s release from Buenos Aires zoo (pictured bottom right) seemed imminent after an Argentine court said in 2014 that she should be recognized as a person with a right to freedom, but she still remains there, even though the zoo closed earlier this year and hundreds of animals were freed. But the judge who fought for her freedom two years ago is now agreeing with her caretakers that it might be best just to improve the conditions of her cage (left) instead of sending her to a reserve abroad, because such a move would put her life at risk. ’We don’t have any options here ... we’re facing a certain reality,’ said Judge Elena Liberatori. ’Sandra (left and top right) has a millstone hung around her neck.’ Original Article: Original Video: Daily Mail Facebook: Daily Mail IG: Daily Mail Snap: Daily Mail Twitter: Daily Mail Pinterest: Daily Mail Google : DailyMail/posts Get the free Daily Mail mobile app:
