Lion-Hearted! (1932)

Introductory intertitle reads: “Every day in every way the lion tamer of today is getting more supreme in his mastery of Leo.“ M/S of group of lions in a cage. Lion tamer follows them. He makes the lions do various tricks. He runs around the cage tormenting the lions with a whip. People stand around the outside of the cage watching the performance. The lions look pretty tired and docile when the tamer makes them lie down - they may be drugged. The tamer attempts to lie on the backs of the dozing lions but one of them doesn’t like it and sits up - the tamer gets off sharpish! “These subjects need a lot of posing!“ Tamer pats lions on the head. The lions sit in a row and turn around to look at the keeper. Reverse view of the scene - looks quite cute as they are all snuggled up together. Closer view of the scene.
