jungle fowl rooster romancing the duck

and the rooster certainly is foul. it’s not every day you see a chicken having sex with a duck. unless you’re me, in which case you often do. lucinda the rooster has a crush on sara the runner duck (and actually her sister rebecca too, but sara is a bit more willing ... well, actually willing isn’t the right word. resigned?). lucinda probably has his own complexes because of his name. and he’s low man on the local rooster chain, all the actual chicken hens in the immediate vicinity are spoken for, and so he shacks up with the ducks. here he does a nice little dance for sara before making sweet brief love to her. what a romantic. this duck, sara, seems to have come to terms with it. sorta given up and doesn’t even try to run away anymore like the other duck. still afterwards she’s clearly embarrassed and rushes back to rebecca for counsel. but the lucinda the rooster seems proud of himself.
