Original Lexx Promo - “The Dark Zone“

The original promo reel by Salter Street Productions that inspired the hit 90’s sci-fi TV series Lexx. This is basically a slightly different version of that scene in the pilot, “I Worship His Shadow“, in which Stanley Tweedle (played here, as always, by the one and only Brian Downey) refuses to allow the prison transport in because the commander doesn’t have a clearance code. There are some obvious differences - Brian’s uniform is grey instead of red, and the transport commander seems to have had a gender bender - but it’s an interesting insight into the origins of Lexx, and it would be interesting to imagine what the show would’ve been like if they’d kept it like this... I’ll say this, the effects are better than I expected. If anyone has a cast list for this, please leave it in the comments. I think the transport guy is Jeremy Akerman. Dunno who the other guy is though.
