Steven LaBrie sings “Love Serenade” from Let Freedom Ring

** Staying Alive: ** The seventh video in our Staying Alive series features baritone Steven LaBrie singing “Love Serenade” from the 1939 film Let Freedom Ring. He is accompanied by Adam Nielsen on the piano. This song is a translation of the Italian piece “Sérénade,” composed by Riccardo Drigo for the 1900 ballet Les millions d’Arlequin. Steven LaBrie was last seen on the Tulsa Opera stage in our 2018 production of The Barber of Seville, where he made his company debut as the titular barber Figaro. This May, he would have made his role debut as Mr. Maguire in Tobias Picker’s Emmeline.
