Fuzzbug Dolls (1966)

Brighton, West Sussex. A fictional story introduces an item about the manufacture of strange little furry toys. C/U of a miniature jungle set filled with strange furry toys. Extreme C/U on a furry spider landing next to a furry bird. Various shots of the ’fuzz bugs’ toys in their fake tropical setting. The narrator starts to tell us a story - a twisted version of Noah’s Ark! C/U of pairs of plastic animals lined up next to a wooden toy ark, a fuzz bug is lifted on to the boat by an attached string. The narrator explains that there was room for two fuzz bugs but only one made it onto the ark, C/U of the other fuzzbug caught in a net, “a fuzzbug trap“ and left behind. M/S of the toy ark grounded on an Astroturf hillock, the surviving fuzzbug leaps down a pothole in the hill. C/U of the fuzzbug living a life of solitude in a psychedelic coloured cave ...
