Givin’ Up? The new video from DISTORDER. The genesis of this clip came with the little figure I created for Gerling’s first ever website in July 2003, my design was rejected so the little drawing just lived- on a hard drive until now and also on the new records artwork! Lockdown again ..I I just start experimenting with the animation (a new thing for me) and suddenly a narrative appears…its like a druggy cartoon made for people on drugs, created by a sober person about giving something up ;) AND something cute your kids can watch as of blurred lines…but isn’t that what 60’s Psychedelic was- I’m not sure I wasn’t there (ok boomers) Beatles/ Syd Barrett - childlike associations with sublime adventures- inner pathways unlocked?? Anyway it really helps one fall into the song even rippling loopy , circular audio draws you in- maybe its the 14 strength coffee pods Jess bought by mistake and now both of us are bouncing off the lockdown maybe its someth
