Aboyne, Scotland The Highland Games starts with shots of a funfair. Low angle shot of chair roundabout and general shots of fair. M/S of some of the stalls. M/S flag being raised. It is the standard of the Chief of the Games, the Marquess of Huntly. A signal for the games to begin. M/S military band dressed in kilts some playing the bagpipes. Each contestant locks his hand behind the other’s back and the loser is the first to touch the ground. C/U young boys dressed in traditional dress watching the games.
