At the WTT Youth Contender Berlin (GER), Annett Kaufmann met Yeh Yi-Tian from Taiwan in her Round of 16 (R16) encounter of the Under 17 girls’ singles event. Aside from Annett, there were only three more non-Asian players left! Still, Annett managed to beat her by displaying her powerful combination of spin shots and fast shots. So she set up a very interesting quarterfinal clash with Yuna Ojio, who she could also beat at the 2021 World Youth Championships in Portugal.
