Jean Sibelius: Étude op. 76 no. 2 arranged for Viola and Guitar

Dear friends, here is the second recording for viola and guitar that I announced in some comments. It is the Étude op 76 no. 2 by the Finnish composer Johan Julius Christian (short “Jean“) Sibelius. Irin, my viola partner and I recorded this in Germany in November before the Corona lockdown. This arrangement was made by Börje Sandquist for cello and guitar, whom we would like to thank here for his great idea. The version played here by Irin and me is of course adapted for viola. Please note: I have been asked now very often for the score. The music is still not public domain (I believe this will be the case end of 2027) and I will have a problem to publish the score to a large number of people. We had uploaded the very fast played Invention by Bach a few days ago (see last video). We had played this much faster than piano players usually do. This time it’s the opposite.
