Silkworms (1957)

Ayot St. Lawrence, Hertfordshire. L/S of some trees, the camera pans down to a lady, Phillipa Rowe, picking mulberry leaves off a bush and putting them in a large wicker basket. M/S of Phillipa picking the leaves, C/U of her hands picking the leaves, C/U of her face. She walks away from the scene with her basket, M/S as she walks past the camera. L/S of Ayot House, Phillipa is walking towards it, M/S as she walks up the steps into the house. The narrator tells us this is the Lullingstone Silk farm. Interior. L/S of Zoe, Lady Hart Dyke who runs the farm, in a room with trolleys full of straw, Phillipa walks in and Lady Hart Dyke takes a handful of leaves from her basket. Phillipa walks away and puts some more leaves on another table. M/S of Lady Hart Dyke putting down leaves for the silkworms to eat, there are lots of worms wriggling about.
