PM Trudeau meets with Italian PM Giorgia Meloni in Toronto – March 2, 2024

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni comment briefly ahead of their bilateral meeting in Toronto. The Italian leader is visiting Toronto for her first official trip to Canada. The two prime ministers are focusing their discussions on support for Ukraine and diplomatic efforts to address the crisis in the Middle East. They will also speak about the upcoming G7 summit that will be hosted by Italy, and strengthening trade between their two countries.
