EU politicians label crackdown on conservative conference undemocratic

Former French presidential hopeful Jean-Luc Melenchon lashed out at Lille University for canceling a conference on Palestine under the pretext of escalating tensions between Iran and Israel. Similar cases also happened in Brussels where authorities attempted to forcibly close a conference of right-wing representatives.
