Feels solid in hand, has serious weight to it, looks pretty with cool blue anodized cover plates and nautical design elements. Semi-closed covers on the back (like Hohner Special 20) and no air vents create a little darker tone, however subjectively it is still quite loud and bright. Blue acrylic comb with manufacturer brand and a key embossed in golden letters on the back and the front-left side respectively. Front of harmonica has reed plates which are not recessed (Like Hohner Marine Band), take this into account. 01:20 Unpacking Conjurer Blues harmonica and first impressions. Looks very similar to Seydel Session in design. Light blue acrylic comb with slightly smaller holes than Seydel. Near-identical cover plates with manufacturer brand and floral decoration engraved. Recessed reed plate. You mouth mainly touching plastic and no metal when you play (if that’s what you prefer, again, similar to Hohner Special 20 in that regard) 03:10 Conjurer Bluestorm sound test - chords, thrills, flutters, octaves, single notes, draw and blow bends and a short blues instrumental. Harp provided to me for the test was quite airtight, easily bendable, clean octaves, punchy chords, quite a loud volume and wide sound projection. 06:45 Thoughts about material quality. While Conjurer harps feel solid, this is a new brand and we are yet to build trust with their harmonicas. If you already have experience with harmonicas from China, like Easttop, I believe quality would be comparable. 07:56 Conjurer Blues harp sound test - chords, thrills, flutters, octaves, single notes, draw and blow bends and a short blues instrumental. Harp provided to me for the test was airtight, easy to bend. With somewhat darker, less bright/more mellow tone compared to Bluestorm potentially due to cover plates design. Comfortable in hand and easy to cup for hand effects and playing amplified. 11:34 Final thoughts. Overall, a fair consideration at a given price point. What are your thoughts?
