Video showed a white police officer fatally shooting 26-year-old Black man, Patrick Lyoya, during a traffic stop on April 4th. The unnamed officer is on paid administrative leave, police said. Meanwhile Grand Rapids residents, who had called for the video’s release in protests earlier this week, demonstrated downtown Wednesday evening, seeking police accountability for Lyoya’s death.
