Low-maintenance aquascape

This is my 150x45x60 low-maintenance aquascape. Previously the tank was a cryptocoryne jungle, but I was lucky enough to have my friend George Farmer come over and rework the tank. I explained the layout I was thinking of and the kind of plants I wanted to use and provided the materials, some of which were kindly donated by Aquarium Gardens. George brought lots of wonderful plants for us to add. You can see George at work here: I wanted an unheated (room temp) tank, that my family could easily look after while I am abroad carrying out research in Brazil. Plants include: Anubias nana Anubias barteri Anubias ’petite’ Bolbitis heudelotii Cryptocoryne balansae Cryptocoryne becketii Cryptocoryne petchii Cryptocoryne usteriana Cryptocoryne wendtii (green) Cryptocoryne wendtii (brown) Cryptocoryne willisii Hygrophila pinnatifida Lagendra meeboldi ’red’ Limnobium laevigatum Microsorum pteropus ’narrow’ Vallisneria nana Vesicularia montagnei Fish: Danio chopra
