Saudi Arabia Draining Water From Drought-Stricken Arizona

Arizona is currently suffering through the worst drought in a thousand years, but that hasn’t prevented the state from renting Arizona aquifers to Saudi Arabia at cut-rate prices, allowing the Saudis to draw as much water from these underground sources as they want, all to grow Alfalfa to be shipped back to Saudi Arabia to feed cattle raised on ranches in the Middle Eastern kingdom. It sounds crazy, but it’s true!
