Russian Air Force warplanes were grounded at the Hmeymim Airbase in Latakia on Saturday following the implementation of the Syria ceasefire which came into effect at 00:00 Damascus time (22:00 GMT). Russia has suspended all airstrikes on those areas and armed groups which are part of the cessation of hostilities agreement, the General Staff said at a briefing in Moscow on Saturday.
