Caliente Snare Drum Video

Here is Caliente Snare drum, a solo from my book Broad Strokes. This solo consists of several Afro Cuban grooves including Mambo, Nanigo, Rhumba/Guaguanco, and Songo. The snare drum is played like a timbale with colorful rim shots and cross rim effects. The drum I am using is a modified 5“ nickel over brass Leedy with a coated Remo ambassador head.
