Full title reads: “LAKELAND SPORTS - World-famed old English Games held at Grasmere.“ Grasmere, Cumbria. High angle shot of the arena packed with people gathered to enjoy the events of the world famous Westmorland sports. Puppy trail dog race is the first of the competitions at Grasmere Sports. Crowds watching. Dogs are off, running through lies of people and out of the arena. The end of race, dogs returning to arena. ’Black Cracker’ wins the race. Men holding their dogs - dogs seems to be very lively. Various shots of the wrestling competition. A man with a big cigar watching wrestling - Lord Lonsdale. More shots of he competition. Start of the Guides Race - two miles cross country run. Contestants are seen climbing a hill and jumping over high wall. Long shot of quite high hill with a flag on top.
