Weight reduction and pitstop timesaving | Alauda Aeronautics Taking Flight Series

In this Taking Flight episode we investigate how Alauda Aeronautics engineers are implementing new battery access designs, First Person View (FPV) capabilities and weight-saving measures for the Alauda Mk3C. Alauda Aeronautics Aerospace Engineer, Callan Cranenburgh speaks on his battery panel work to improve internal Speeder access for Alauda Aeronautics engineers, ultimately cutting pitstop time from over 1 minute to sub-30 seconds. Working closely with our Chief Remote Pilot, Andrew Jackson, Callan and the engineering team are stepping through the verification and validation phase of the FPV system. The successful integration will allow Airspeeder pilots to fly - test and race - in FPV in 2022. The old adage “weight is the enemy of performance’’ couldn’t be more true in the air. Project Manager Brett Hill returns to discuss the result of six months focused on “adding lightness”. The result is increased efficiency reflected through better battery range as well as greater endurance, s
