GRADABLE and NON-GRADABLE ADJECTIVES | HOW TO ENGLISH

In today’s video you’re going to learn about gradable and non-gradable adjectives. Gradable adjectives, such as big or cold, can be measured. They can be used with following modifiers: very, slightly, extremely, a bit, pretty, quite. Non-gradable adjectives include absolute and extreme adjectives. We use absolute adjectives (e.g. dead or finished) with absolutely, completely, and totally. We use extreme adjectives (such as delicious or exhausted) with absolutely or really. As usual, you can practise what you learn with my quiz questions.
