Elephant Shrew

Ones of the “small 5“ the Elephant Shrew is without one of the most endearing creatures to be seen in the wild. They only weigh about 200gr and have received their name for their elephant-like, mobile proboscis that they use to hunt Because they prefer dense woodlands or forests as their habitats they aren’t easy to find and are often missed. Lucky for us Tayla Jane McCurdy managed to keep up with a pair of them in the Lower Zambezi and got this great footage of them!
