Dysphagia is a term that essentially means trouble with swallowing. About one in every 25 people experience dysphagia. Any number of conditions, diseases, or injuries can cause this condition and it often results in food needing to be pureed to make it easier to swallow. In this video Gaylord’s Rachel Noia, MS, CCC-SLP, talks about dysphagia and gives you tips on how to puree foods to get the right texture and how to enhance taste and appearance.
