Richard Payne, famous hypnotist in London. C/U two man and a woman swaying about as if drunk (they are hypnotised). C/U Richard Payne’s hands and face. M/S Payne telling three volunteers under hypnosis to peddle as if on a bicycle. M/S Payne persuading volunteers to act like a cats. Various shots Payne persuading a volunteer to be a “stiff iron girder“. The hypnotised man lies with his head on one chair and his feet on another, Payne and another man step onto the hypnotised man’s rigid torso. M/S Payne persuading volunteers that they are “freezing with the cold“; they shiver and shake and huddle together.
