Hornist Klaus Wallendorf had a special birthday surprise during a rehearsal in Beijing. As expected, the Berliner Philharmoniker and conductor Gustavo Dudamel began with Gustav Mahler’s Fifth Symphony, which suddenly turned into a sonorous “Happy Birthday”, arranged especially for the occasion by Joshua Davis.
