First Medal of Honor, Grant’s 4 Star Coat, Eisenhower’s Last Uniform | Behind the Glass Part 2

We continue our “Behind the Glass“ series at the West Point Museum with Kris White and Michael Diaz. Featured in this video is the coat of “the Father of the Military Academy“ Sylvanus Thayer, captured flag poles from the Mexican-American War, Ulysses S. Grant’s 4 Star General uniform and Dwight D. Eisenhower’s last uniform. Behind the Glass Part 1: Behind the Glass Part 3: The American Battlefield Trust preserves America’s hallowed battlegrounds and educates the public about what happened there and why it matters. We permanently protect these battlefields for future generations as a lasting and tangible memorial to the brave soldiers who fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and the Civil War.
