Sibelius: King Christian II Suite, I. Nocturne

Rory Macdonald conducts the opening movement of Sibelius’s King Christian II Suite. Sibelius created the suite from his incidental music for a popular historical play, and this gentle, romantic Nocturne was originally an interlude between the first and second acts.
