Tuna Ceviche Tostadas (Recipes with Canned Tuna) | The Frugal Chef

Let’s make an easy, delicious and frugal recipe with canned tuna today. We are going to marinade tuna in lime juice with cilantro and then eat it on tostadas with avocado, red cabbage, habanero salsa and lime. Delish and inexpensive! Follow me : Twitter : Facebook : Instagram : Tuna Ceviche Tostadas 2 - 5 oz (147 grams) cans of tuna in water — drained 1/4 teaspoon lime zest 4 limes — juiced 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro Salt and Pepper Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix. Allow the tuna to marinade in the lime juice for about 30 minutes. FOR TWO TOSTADAS: 1/2 avocado — mashed and lightly salted Sliced red cabbage Salsa of choice (I used habanero salsa) Mexican crema or sour cream Chopped cilantro Lime wedges Smear the bottom of one of the tostadas with avocado. Top with tuna. You will have left over. Top with cabbage, salsa, a drizzle of cream, and cilantro. Squeeze a lime wedge on the tostada and enjoy.
