Putin, Lukashko echo on West’s sanctions’ deadlock when addressing Eurosian economic forum
Belarus’ President Lukashenko
hit out at West’s sanctions Wednesday,
alongside Putin,
after he publicly joked about
his ill health rumors
The duo made the remarks
at the 2nd Eurasian Economic Forum
in Moscow
The synchronization of rhetorics
somehow triggered
awkward comments
The forum was attended by
leaders of Eurasian
Economic Union members including
Russia, Belarus,
Armenia, Kazakhstan
and Kyrgyzstan
With its theme of
“Eurasian integration in
a multipolar world,”
the forum noted the trend of
shifting towards a decentralized
international financial system
The gathering, led by Putin,
came on the heel of
China-Central Asia Summit
which concluded on May 19
Russian PM Mishustin
meanwhile was on
an official visit to China Wednesday
as the two sides vowed to
level up all-round
pragmatic cooperation
