How do Russian Grannies Spend Their Free Time? 🏒🥅

In the quiet Russian village of Bereznik, there are only around 1000 people. But out of those 1000, 12 make up a very special hockey team — a team of babushkas (grandmas)! 🏒 These grandmas have been hitting the ice for five years, and their captain is 83 years old! They prove that age shouldn’t stop you from enjoying sports. I went to Russia’s province to watch their 5-year anniversary match with a neighboring team of grandmothers. This was a shocking experience for me, to see grandmas play and skate better than most young people I know! Their coach is an Olympic athlete, and she puts her heart and soul into this team. They even have a world record because there’s no one like them! 💪 Russia is full of unexpected stories and inspiring people, and this is one that few will believe.
