Vega Strike Flight 2020 07 08 11 22 45

After a week of tinkering, this is what Vega Strike looks like now, on my computer. The engine is the branch. In Arch Linux’s AUR, you can find that as vegastrike-engine-release-git. Game data is provided by vegastrike-git. It is recommended to install the data first, it will ask you which engine you want to install as a dependency. Currently vegastrike-engine-git, which follows the master branch, has a crippling bug which makes game play.... interesting. Try landing on installations that may or may not randomly jump around in space. You can see the bug in question in this video: The high resolution backgrounds are currently available separately of the project, as they are too big to be hosted by github. Grab my copy from here: Unpack to wherever you have a bit of space. One of the files has an incorrect extension of .dds. Simply rename that one to have an .image
