AEG Sidewinder Antique Electric Fan

This cool little fan is an AEG (Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft) Made in Germany around 1910. Nicknamed “Sidewinder“ due to it’s side mounted oscillating mechanism sharing some similarities to the General Electric Sidewinder. The brass lever on top opens and closes a leaf spring at the rear of the oscillator housing which pushes the worm toward the armature shaft and engages the two. The large knurled thumbwheel on the side adjust’s sweep. The blades measures 10“.
