Germany: Several arrested at Querdenken rally in Berlin

Subscribe to our channel! Police arrested several protesters at a rally by Querdenken (’lateral thinkers’) and other COVID-19 sceptic groups against coronavirus restrictions in Berlin, on May 1. Police can be seen pinning one protester on the ground before carrying him away. The demonstrators held signs and banners as they gathered near the Lichtenberg town hall, in eastern Berlin. The German government implemented a slew of new restrictions including a nation-wide curfew on April 25 in an attempt to curb what has been described as a third wave of the virus. Since the start of the pandemic, the country has seen over 3 million confirmed cases of coronavirus and 83,000 COVID-related deaths according to Johns Hopkins University. #Querdenken #LabourDay #MayDay #InternationalWorkersDay #Berlin #Germany #COVID19 #coronavirus Video ID: 20210501-021 Video on Demand: Contact: cd@ Twitter: Faceboo
