Linocut printmaking ’’Duck Pond’’ process by Emils Salmins ’’

Printmaking process from when I was staying at a cabin in the woods, located in Latvia, near Aluksnes lake. Design drawn with white pencil on black colored lino block. This was an experimental technique for me, but it ended up so much easier to draw on black and to be able to see the final result before it’s carved. And it definitely benefited the carving process, to better understand where the edges are more precise. References used for this print comes from Ohara Koson book (japanese prints) This and other prints are available at Filmed with Iphone and edited by Emil
