Dr. Brady Cox demos a Large-Scale Mobile Shaker used for Earthquake Simulation

The University of Texas Cockrell School of Engineering has three large-scale mobile shakers, affectionately known as “T-Rex“, “Thumper“, and “Liquidator“. These were funded by the NSF Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES). These shakers are used to simulate earthquakes from low-levels of shaking to high-levels of shaking.
