Gustavo Barroso - “Infinite Growth“ made from Jägermeister glass

Gustavo Barroso teamed up with us to explore the myriad ways glass can be repurposed through Barroso’s innovative pâte de verre (French, “glass paste”) techniques. By developing various material composites that defy traditional glass-working boundaries, Barroso showcases his versatility and keen sensibility towards materiality. His work highlights the regenerative potential of found objects, giving rise to new forms and interpretations. This research and experimentation culminated into an exhibition titled “Infinite Growth“ where Barroso challenges material perceptions and urges a collective contemplation of growth, change, and the seemingly endless human desire to dominate nature. The exhibition sets a scene for creative liberation from traditional mediums, evoking curiosity and reflection.
