MONGOLIAN ARMY

Mongolian forces are involved in peacekeeping operations in Sierra Leone, Iraq, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Western Sahara, Afghanistan, Liberia, Chad and South Sudan. The Mongolian military in Afghanistan is assisting NATO / International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) equipment in the former Warsaw Pact countries, which make up the bulk of the Afghan National Army’s military equipment. In 2005/2006, Mongolian servicemen served in the Belgian military in Kosovo.
