Tata Guines y Zakir Hussain - Fity Fity

“It was in 1993 that Patrick Glaize made the roughly 26 minutes long film on Tata Guines and Zakir Hussain for french television. For my part, I was in charge of the image. Patrick had this peculiar idea of bringing those two masters of percussion together, while both their cultures and styles were quite different. We shooted in studio for one day, and a couple of days outside Paris. Without any rehearsal, the musical duo took place spontaneously. As Tata did not speak english, it is through music that the two percussionits exchanged.“ Bruno Romiguière.
